How to Vlog in Public and be confident - Tips for Vlogging in Public

Tip 1 - Try and focus on the camera lens.

The people looking at you are living their own lives and are only interested for a second. They don't really care what you are doing so try and not get caught up in strangers who are passing you by while you vlog in public. Be confident and remember that your audience is watching and they should be your number one priority.

Tip 2 - Simple equipment
It's best to use minimal equipment while outside in public so that it's easier for you to setup.

Equipment List
 Camera - Samsung WB380f
Microphone - Rode SmartLav+
Tripod - From EBAY
Selfie Stick - Kmart brand (8 AU Dollars)

Tip 3 - Lighting
Try and film on an overcast day or not in direct sunlight to avoid over exposure.
Shade on a sunny day seems best.

We hope these tips help you get started with outdoor vlogging :-D

8 Bit Burger

When 8 Bit opened in Footscray in Melbourne something unexpected happened.
People came flooding from all over Melbourne to try what many were saying was the best burgers they've ever had.
So naturally they decided to open another store in the Melbourne CBD.
And again the place was packed.

So we thought we'd go down and try what "Yelp" was saying was The Best Burger in Australia.

So we ordered an 8 Bit with cheese and The Afterburner. Yes, you will find many of the burger names take you back to the 80's when you were playing on your game system all the great 8 bit games. And if you're feeling nostalgic there's a free arcade machine in the corner with 1000's of 8 bit games ready to be conquered.

The burgers here are delicious. Simple fresh ingredients in a delicious bun.
Also on the menu are hotdogs, loaded fries and the best milkshakes you will ever taste.

We had the strawberry cheesecake milkshake and it was to die for!

We highly recommend this place for great tasting burgers and shakes, free arcade and great atmosphere.

Do yourself a favour and head down to 8 Bit.
You will not be disappointed.

Ascot Food Store

On a beautiful spring morning we walked to our local which happens to be Ascot Food Store. We had been seeing pics on Instagram of their infamous Syringe Injected Donuts, and we decided we must try these! We found a seat outside at their beautiful long outdoor tables. With the spring sun in full force that morning it was an atmosphere to soak in. We ordered the Snickers Donut and the raspberry and white chocolate. We also went for their lobster burger which sounded delicious. The donuts came first and we struggled with the "syringe injected" part failing miserably to inject it properly at first. The donuts were yummy but the dough was a bit too bread like for our taste. It was average. The presentation of the doughnut couldn't be better. It looks absolutely fantastic and very instagrammable. The lobster burger again i could only give it an average score as it didn't seem to have a punch of flavour that a burger requires. The bun was soft and delicious but the filling was just not there for me. Overall The Ascot Food Store has great friendly staff and a relaxing sunday morning ambience that is beautiful on a warm spring day,

Menya Sandaime Ramen (Shujinko)

Having wondered where we can have yummy ramen, feeling like we are in Japan, we were so happy to have found out this place opening in Melbourne. Needless to say, the ramen here is wonderful and massive but also this place kind of makes you feel like you are in Japan as the place's interior, music and food are absolutely authentic Japanese style.
I had the Karakuchi ramen and Rachel went for the Tsukemen ramen.
I absolutely loved the ramen here. I thought it was one of the best if not the best ramen i have ever had.

This place is always very crowded but the best thing about this place is it opens 24/7 so choose the time when you want to go :)
If you are overseas, we highly recommend having ramen in this place when you visit Melbourne!
